The main objectives of HINNA are as listed below:
- To support community based development program, linking peace with development promoting a culture of peace, democratic values, and good governance.
- Stopping hostilities and conflicts, and encouraging peace initiatives.
- Demobilization of the armed militia through the intervention of skill training and literacy campaign.
- Women empowerment through women rights, education and democracy, skill training and advocating job opportunity and income generation for women
