On 26 July 2015 HINNA conducted Forum at HAWA TAKO CENTER in Hodan districtin which 30 women from Civil Society Organizations (SCO) including women activist organizations, youth groups, university student unions, member of parliaments, media groups and internal Displaced People (IDPs) attended in Mogadishu.
The forum was about enhancing Somali women’s leadership and political participation. During the forum various agenda were discussed together with:-
1. Overview of women and history in political participation in the world
2. History of Somali women and their role in political participation
3. Advantages of women in participation of political parties
4. Best approach that can be used to encourage women in participation of political parties
The forum is sponsored by Somali Women Study Center (SWSC) with the aim of Promoting existing opportunities in newly developed political parts, women’s participation and representing in politics.
