Shelter & Nonfood items

Emergency shelter kits

Our Shelter and Non-Food Items (NFIs) program plays a crucial role in providing lifesaving support to displaced and vulnerable populations affected by conflict, natural disasters, and drought across Somalia. To address this, HINNA constructs Emergency Shelter Kits (ESKs) to provide immediate relief, and provide essential materials such as tarpaulins, ropes, wooden poles, and basic construction tools that allow families to build temporary shelters. Our shelter interventions prioritize the needs of the most vulnerable groups, such as women-headed households, the elderly, and those with disabilities, ensuring they have a safe place to live as they work to rebuild their lives. The construction of these shelters follows international humanitarian standards, with the goal of providing protection and restoring dignity to displaced families.
