We are HINNA

HINNA, (Women Pioneers for Peace and Life), is a local women's NGO based in Mogadishu, Somalia., HINNA is a non-political, non-profit women led organization Established in 2003 by 60 Somali women, including, businesswomen, professionals and housewives. United by a common goal of promoting peace, stability, and eradicating poverty, HINNA works to improve the lives of Somalia's vulnerable populations, especially women, children, and marginalized communities. Our core activities span various sectors, including health, education, protection, shelter, women's empowerment, food security, agriculture, and peace building. Over the past 20 years, HINNA has grown into a trusted partner for both national and international agencies, implementing sustainable development programs that uplift the lives of the Somali people

Mission

Our mission is to promote justice, equality, peace, and human rights in Somalia. We strive to alleviate suffering, restore human dignity, and build sustainable livelihoods through community-driven humanitarian and development programs. HINNA advocates for the rule of law and works to empower vulnerable groups, including women, children, and the marginalized, through reconciliation, advocacy, and emergency response efforts.

Vision

HINNA envisions a peaceful Somali community that upholds human rights, equality, and mutual respect. We aim for a society where sustainable development and harmonious coexistence thrive, transcending barriers of race, language, religion, or culture.

CORE VALUE

Emergency Relief Services

Immediate response to crises affecting displaced and vulnerable populations in Somalia, including food aid, non-food items (NFIs), water, sanitation, and shelter.

Health and Nutrition Support

Focused on improving access to healthcare services for marginalized communities, especially women and children, to ensure basic health and nutritional needs.

Protection

dictated to safeguarding human rights and providing support for survivors offender-based violence (GBW children in need, and other at-risk groups.

Education and Vocational Training

Provides educational support and skill-building opportunities to reduce illiteracy, particularly among women, youth, and displaced

HINNA envision a Somali community living in peace and respects human rights regardless of race, language, color, religion and culture and realization of sustainable livelihood & development for urban and rural Somali society.
